Job Description

Our client is a leading printing organization located in Nairobi, Kenya. They are looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to join their team.

They are looking for a hands-on Human Resources Manager from the manufacturing sector. The HRM will be responsible for managing a full spectrum of human resource programs, services and functions. He/she will coordinate human capital strategies including processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, compliance, and labour relations. He/she will ensure compliance with Human Capital legislation, strategies, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure all statutory H&S audits are done on time within OSHA regulations.

- Ensure Workmen's Insurance Benefits cover is in place and renewed on time as per WIBA regulations.

- Drive employee engagement by creating a climate where people are motivated to achieve organizational objectives.

- Ensure employment policy structures with regard to job descriptions, salary scales, benefits, diversity, and training.

- Coordinate the implementation of Performance Management Systems and annual performance reviews.

- Handle employee complaints, manage grievance procedures, and resolve complex employee relations issues.

- Promote employee wellness and retention through creative benefits and welfare activities.

- Conduct periodic surveys to benchmark competitive staff compensation packages.

- Ensure provision of benefit administrative support including payroll administration and retirement benefits management.

- Ensure all work records as required by the Employment Act are filed and updated accordingly.

Requirements

* A bachelor's degree in human resource management or business management administration (a higher diploma will be an added advantage).

* 5 years' proven experience as HR professional and at least 3 years at a managerial level.

* Demonstrated human resource management knowledge and expertise.

* In-depth knowledge of Kenyan labor laws.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.

* Excellent problem-solver and decision-maker.

* Strong ethics and reliability.
