Our client is looking for a Partnership and Payments Manager who will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with financial institutions, card networks, and payment service providers to optimize payment processing, reduce costs, and expand payment methods, particularly for e-commerce. This role involves negotiating commercial terms, driving co-marketing initiatives, and collaborating closely with internal product and engineering teams to enhance the overall user experience.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key payment partners, fostering long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Define and execute partnership strategies for a portfolio of partners to support business growth and market share expansion.
- Optimize cross-border liquidity by partnering with international clearing banks and remittance networks to minimize currency conversion slippage and transfer latency.
- Negotiate contracts, fees, and operational terms to ensure the delivery of sustainable, competitive, and cost-effective services.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze transaction data, and work with product teams to improve authorization rates and reduce transaction costs.
- Identify opportunities for joint product initiatives and drive the integration of new payment methods to support business needs.
- Ensure all partnerships and payment processes align with local and international regulations and compliance standards.
- Manage the technical onboarding and API integration for global digital wallet providers, ensuring seamless wallet-to-wallet and wallet-to-bank functionality across diverse mobile ecosystems.
- Monitor and mitigate regional settlement risks and corridor-specific friction, working closely with treasury teams to ensure stable funding flows across multiple jurisdictions.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or account management within the e-commerce, fintech, banking or payments industries.
* Deep understanding of the payment ecosystem, including Payment Service Providers (PSPs), acquirers, schemes, card networks and cross-border or local payment methods.
* Proficiency in analyzing performance metrics to make informed strategic decisions.
* Strong ability to negotiate complex agreements and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
